| Dustin Farrell (Dusty) is a free-hand longarm quilt artist who is constantly developing and updating his own unique style. He has demonstrated in several local, state, and national shows for Nolting Manufacturing. Dusty has quilted for many well-known designers such as Mary Koval and Yolanda Fundora of Blank Quilting, Kathleen Starr of Starr Design Fabrics, Inc. and Stephanie Brandenburg of Fern Hill Gifts and Quilts. He has been published in several magazines including American Quilter, Fons Porters Easy Quilts,The Quilter, and Fabric Trends. Dusty and his wife own “Country Stitchin,” a quilt shop in Northwestern Pennsylvania. ferns, and feathers. Use them with echo quilting and create multitudes of background filler
designs. This class is all about shapes and how they relate to each other but how they
compliment the patchwork. This technique applies to fillers, backgrounds, all over / edge-to-edge
designs and textures. Piece it all together in this kick back free motion class

The stage is set for anyone who has ever wanted to explore the use of glow in the dark threads
and embellishments. Dusty will dim the lights and turn up the heat as he quilts a world wind of
stunning free motion designs.

Your longarm can do more than quilt quilts! Get outside the boundaries, and explore working with
satin, organza, silk, sweatshirts, even raw edge strip piecing for jackets and vests; take your
doodles up a notch, turning purchased garments into quilted masterpieces…..even use your lon-
garm as a giant embroidery machine! Class practice (beautiful on black with decorative threads)
easily be-comes a messenger or envelope bag, both original de-signs. Lots of samples and
ideas, demo of loading gar-ments into the machine, laying out garments for quilting from start to
finish.

out how to quilt them. This class is non - stop excitement beginning to end. Figure out what
combination of nested inside templates you like best. These are great for setting squares and
