Make 28 HST - Half Square Triangles
8 1/2 inch unfinished
8 inch square, finished.
Make 8 HST - Half Square Triangles
8 1/2 inch unfinished
8 inch square, finished.
Make 16 HST - Half Square Triangles
8 1/2 inch unfinished
8 inch square, finished.
Cut 12 squares
8 1/2 inch squares unfinished
8 inch square, finished
80" x 100"
Finished Size
Cut the following segments for your inner borders
Cut two strips of inner border fabric.  8 1/2" x 32 1/2"
One for the top and one for the bottom.
Cut two strips of inner border fabric.  8 1/2" x 48 1/2"
One for the left and one for the right.
Cut the following segments for your outer borders
Cut two strips of outer border fabric. 8 1/2" x 80 1/2"
One for the left and one for the right.
Cut two strips of outer border fabric.  8 1/2" x 64 1/2"
One for the top and one for the bottom.
Lay out the blocks and assemble the segments as shown.
Use a 1/4" seam allowance
The inner segment should look like this, when competed.
Now it is time to assemble the middle borders!
Assemble as shown
Use a 1/4" seam allowance
Piece together the segments to make one for the middle
border. Right.
Piece together the segments to make one for the middle
border. Top.
Piece together the segments to make one for the middle
border. Bottom
Piece together the segments to make one for the middle
border. Left.
Fabric Requirements

Red Scraps                1 1/2 Yards
Gold Scraps               2 1/2 Yards
Green Scraps             3 1/2 Yards   

Yardage requirements are generous.

You may end up with extra fabric.

The extra fabric, will be available if you
have mis-cuts.  

The extra fabric will be available for
binding.

Substitute all fabric for a scrappy look!
